Understanding Gallery Wrapping

Gallery Wrapping your images on canvas is a stunning way to display your work for clients.  While we are happy to prepare your images for you, you may want to prepare them before sending your files to print. This allows you complete control of your final piece.

When preparing your images for canvas gallery wrapping please allow:

  • 4 inches of extra image to wrap around the sides, 2 inches per side
  • 2 inches of extra white space, 1 inch per side
We suggest ordering a proof print prior to placing your final order, especially if you are ordering large prints or prints in quantity.

Image Wrap: The outer 2” edge of your image is wrapped around the stretcher bars.

Mirrored Image: The outer 2” edge of your image is mirrored on the wrapped edge.

Black, White or Colored Border: A classic black, white or colored edge is added to your image.

Your canvas giclée can be stretched on ¾” to 2″ stretcher bars.
